Crystal Mountain Impressions
Since I started coming out to Seattle for a week every months, I've been thinking that at least once I should get in some snowboarding. This weekend seemed like a good opportunity, so I scheduled to get a rental car and try Crystal Mountain for a day. It would be two except I want to be settled in Seattle for the Super Bowl tomorrow.

Why C Should Go Away
I don't want C to grow any more. I've been a C programmer for a long time, the vast majority of my day-to-day work is still in a C codebase, and I expect to continue working in C for a while yet. Nonetheless, its time has passed. It will be around for a while, just like FORTRAN and COBOL are, but there's no good reason for new code to be . . .
